Imagine the hush of a Speyside night, where shadows yield to a glint of precision-forged brilliance. Mortlach Single Malt Scotch Whisky SR23 emerges from this enigma, a Scotch that captures the thrill of unexpected mastery. Hailing from Scotland's storied whisky lands, this expression stands apart with its bold fusion of sweetness laced through savory depths—a profile that sets it strikingly against the grain of its Speyside kin.

Our Malt Master channeled the essence of Japanese artistry to shape this release. A portion rested in ex-Kanosuke Japanese Whisky White Oak casks, infusing layers of intricate harmony. To temper that allure with poised contrast, the rest drew from ex-Pinot Noir French Oak casks. The outcome? A dram that unfolds like a tale of disciplined revelation, potent at 58% ABV and bottled at 750 ml for those moments demanding true depth.

Pour it into your glass, and a radiant golden hue catches the light, promising adventure. Inhale deeply: lush scents of ripe melon and pear rise gently, edged by spices that sharpen the edge without overpowering. On the tongue, savoriness blooms into umami richness, weaving through every sip with commanding presence. The journey extends into a finish that's drawn out, spicy, and utterly captivating, leaving echoes of sweet-savory power.
